not only are the pictures flawless,
but the vinyl selection.
What about the vinyl selection? Omg a collaboration of records of classic artists that almost everyone likes…

Arctic Monkeys - Pretty Visitors
Oh man, Arctic Monkeys! I’m ashamed to say I’ve seriously dropped the ball on this one, so let’s pretend it’s 2009 and this album has only just come out.
Oh my gosh, you guys! There’s a new Arctic Monkeys album out and it’s amazing! It reminds me of my days in high school which was actually very recent since it’s only 2009 and I’m fresh out of school and don’t yet understand how to properly use a semicolon or file taxes; also, have you heard of this ridiculous kid named Justin Beaver? I can tell his career isn’t going to be anything special. Anyway, Arctic Monkeys! I can’t tell you how many time’s I’ve rocked out to Favourite Worst Nightmare** while mowing the lawn to earn some cash because I don’t have a steady job. Humbug is probably going to be on heavy rotation now that I’ve found it. It sure would have sucked if somehow I didn’t know this album came out and went without some sexy Alex Turner crooning in my life for a few years. Anyway, give it a listen!
Yeah. 2009 was a good year, wasn’t it?
Runner up: The soundtrack to the movie The Karate Kid (1984, not 2010). I needed something family-friendly to put on the TV earlier since I’m hosting relatives this weekend and there are kids so I picked TKK and holy crap I forgot how great the movie is, but more specifically, the soundtrack. It’s so chock-full of 80’s teen-movie goodness. So if you haven’t or if it’s been a while, you should go give it a listen. It’s the best, aroouund!
**Note to Rosie and Sherwin, our panelists from England and Canada: the spelling of that album is silly. It should obviously be “Favorite Worst Nightmare”.

1999 and 2004— Two distant eras, seamlessly melded in this stunning performance-that-never-was.
This instrument is called a HurdyGurdy and it does exist.
That looks tiring. But AWESOME.
I’ve heard of the instrument but never seen or heard one before. Weird and pretty cool at the same time.
is THAT what a hurdy gurdy looks like!
